Its time for a pivot service on my anthem, and ive been scared a bit by a few posts here where people had their frames damaged by "trusted" mechanics while removing and installing the pivot bearings. Apologies for a new topic but i cant find that thread again.. Could anyone recommend a person in pretoria who knows what theyre doing, and that is also reasonably priced? Also what would a reasonable price be for such a service? (8 bearings total)

How about giving it a go yourself. Not difficult at all even at 5 thumbs.

At 5 thumbs or with thumbs? ????

Do you need a special tool? Bearing puller or something?

Yes, rather leave it with a professional you trust

Cheaptoools will ruin your bike, proper tools will cost 5 times what the service will cost

Weigh up and decide what you'd rather do

Agreed, i do most things myself but anything suspension related I'll leave to the experts.

Nope easy to do and tools easy to make with threaded rod - washers - and nuts.

Buy better bearings at half the price from bearing supplies.

So much on YouTube and Google
