Amashova 2019 - With MTB

Hi Everyone wanted to find out , Who is doing Amashova this year with Mountain Bike and with or without slicks ?

You don't need slicks.  

 

It's a lot of fun on a mtb.  

 

Might be doing it this year but jury is still out on what bike.

I will be doing the Amashova for the 4th time om my mtb , I used slicks the first time but found no improvement over the mtb tyres, be shure to use a fast rolling tyre not wider than 2.1 " and 80 percent of max inflation pressure . btw there is a mtb batch

Slicks 0n a MTB are definitely faster . I train on the road with a MTB shod with slicks and find doing my regular road circuit of 40km about 3 to 4 mon faster on it . I pump them 3.5 bar and have never had an issue . Cornering on those slacks at speed is wonderful as you have so much more rubber on the tar . .

Did the 100km last year on my dual suspension with Maxxis Ikons, they roll nicely on tar and sound like a swarm of angry bees when you get up to speed. Just hope the wind isn't as strong this year.
