Hey guys, I remember reading somewhere on the hub that someone ordered his own screen for an apple watch and replaced it himself? Does anyone perhaps know or remember who he was? I have an series 2 watch that needs a screen replacement that I would like to try fix myself and give to a family member.

From what I understand even with the correct tools and skills it's neigh impossible or at best extremely difficult to replace the screen. If you don't have the tools or experience I wouldn't even contemplate doing it.

I've replaced the screen on an apple watch. I ordered the part from aliexpress which came with all the tools you need. Watch a few videos on youtube for the tips & tricks. My daughter has been using the watch for over a year now.

Wait I was referring to replacing just the lens on the watch, it may be possible to DIY if you replace the whole screen as a unit. I'd be careful with newer models though as they may have force feedback or biometric devices in the screen which could be problematic.

The lens and the screen are all one thing, you cant just replace a glass cover on the watch, the screen IS the watch unfortunately.

No there is glass above the digitiser and it can be replaced on its own but very difficult.
