Zipp 303 11 speed conversion

Does anyone have experience in converting a zipp 303 rear hub (10 speed) to 11 speed? There is a conversion kit available for the 188 v7 (i believe my model), but I do not see it at online stores. Should any bike shop be able to order the conversion kit?

You should just be able to buy the kit at CSS.

Be prepared to suffer a bit as they are not totally clued up with regards to freewheel bodies.......

Thanks for the reply. Yes the information on the www is quite a bit to take in as well.

 

The other option is to fit the campy freehub body and run the campy casette with shimano drivetrain. But the latest prices of campag casettes are making me lean towards rather fitting the shimano 11 speed conversion kit.

Or you could just machine the 10spd freehub slightly to accommodate the 11spd cassette.

I have read about this option as well. Are there any complications with regards to the clearance between the last gear and frame, or is all sorted by the machining? Is the strength of the freehub not compromised by the machining?

I used to work in the industry and We must have done plenty with no issues that I know of.

I would recommend using a reputable engineering shop or bike shop that have done a good few.

As for the strength issue it will obviously depend on the type and style of freehub hence my above recommendations, I think it's only about 1.2mm that needs to be removed.. Is memory serves there was one case where we had to machine the back of the cassette but I think that was for a Dura-Ace freehub.

I'm not to familiar with your area but i'm sure Northcliff cycles can help you out.
