Tandem Tyres ????

I want to put Continental Ultra Gatorskins on the tandem I am waiting for. The combine weight of the 2 of us is 140 kg. Must I go for a 700 x 25 or the thicker option 700 x 28

Your opinion please !!

Thicker is safer - believe me you dont want to come down at 70km/h after a cateye jumped in front of you.

Dankie straatvark. Dit gaan verseker nie oor die gewig nie. Ons gaan verseker aan races deelneem maar iemand het vir my genoem dis nie nodig om 28 op te sit nie die 25 is fine. Dis hoekom ek vra want sover ek weet gebruik die meeste tandemmers 28 ??

Ek het 'n Raleigh Tandem. Dit het met 28c uitgekom. Ek het 25c Gatorskins opgesit en nog nooit 'n probleem gehad nie. Ons combined weight is oor 150kg, en het met die 25c bande al 100km/h+ geslaan.

Bontrager make a triple compound race lite tyre awesome for the tandem and cheaper than gatorskins and wont puncture on the sidewalls like gatorskins look for the 700x25c tyre and you got a winner
