She went down to the Oceanview police station to report it and was told not to bother unless she wanted to claim from insurance. Given their total lack of empathy or interest (and her watch not being insured) she left without reporting it.- in hindsight she agreed that she should've reported it regardless, but I totally understand why she didn't given her experience. Oceanview police station probably doesn't want these incidents reported as it just highlights how ineffectual they are.Most police stations tell you that unless for insurance. However one should report so that there is a stats database for the area.
