If You Only Had 30-40 Minutes...

Were in week two and the new routine working well.

I went out yesterday to the woods to practice some jumping technique on a small mound I found, it's not ideal but it will do.

It didnt go too well as I felt I was trying too many things after watching countless vids. Lots of vids show the perfect bunny hop technique when you get the bars to your waist standing up and then level off, I cant do that, nowhere near.

Some vids just dont show the rider doing anything other than just flying off the jump, some tell you to put weight in the front wheel into the lip, then transfer to the feet, some riders seem to just kinda pop off the jumps.....etc..

All these things are really confusing me in what I should be concentrating on to get comfortable doing a jump.

What should I be focusing on that will give me good benefit here?

Manuals. Then bunny hops. Both will help with drops and jumps. Manuals on the drops, bunny hops for both.

Plus, it takes LOTS of time and effort to get right.

Check out the Mountain Bike Skills and Techniques by Brian Lopes & Lee McCormack. https://www.leelikesbikes.com/mmbs3

VERY simple instructions, covers everything.

Then also go to a skills clinic. Worth its weight in gold.
