I need some advice on servicing a Kona full suspension frame.   Is there any documentation available?  Where can I find a bushing kit for it in ZA etc.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

It is a 03 Kahuna, It seams to use the same busing kit as the KiKapu, Mokomoko and Manomano. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I stripped the frame except for the main pivot that I can?t seam to dismantle. I have an idea what to do but it will involve a rubber hammer??.Evil%20Smile

Looks like I need new bushes for the top seat stay pivot.Ouch

So does anyone know who the import is of Kona.

Just go to a shop that stocks them or your LBS and ask them to organise. Doubt the agents will deal direct with you anyway.

Or go to the Kona website....there should be a dealer locator on the site.

To find the Kona website....use the link provided below

Bike Hut in cape town did do Kona last time I looked, but it seems they've only got hardtails - not sure if they're still a dealer but maybe worth a call for info.....

Hi Ox Wagon, I had my Calois bushes made up at an engineering shop, cost me a whole R80Thumbs%20Up, that sorted the main pivot out perfectlyEmbarrassed, plenty ways to 'skin the cat' when you can't find spares.

Bionic, that sounds like the right type of solution for meThumbs%20Up, especially taking in to account the state of the rest of the frameDisapprove.  <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

OK, the Kona is fully striped and I found the root of all the problems, BMW bearingsLOL.  So I am now looking for a Kona XC #4 bearing kit............<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I can get one from CRC for a very good price but would like to find one in <?: prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Gauteng to speed the rebuild up.  I can also get the bearings cheaply at my local bearing supply.

PS: How do you remove the bearings from the frame?Embarrassed

A bearing removal tool. Failing that....farm implements like hammers and such
