Sending Bicycle Overseas

Hey Everyone 

 

Has anyone used a company to send there bicycles overseas?

Currently in the process of moving to Australia and don’t feel comfortable putting 2 bikes in the container 

Taking one on the plane with me but the other 2 I have to send 

Any advice is appreciated

Its an expensive endeavor. When i was still planning on going to aus i decided to put my bikes in a container (boxed). Works out cheaper for the volume. A courier company costs 12k easy per bike boks when i asked a year ago.

What's wrong with sending them in the container?

i sent 3 bikes in a container to Canada. Got them boxed at a bike shop, and they got loaded like that. Arrived in the same condition they left

Yes, packed to your satisfaction and packed in a container seems like the safest way to ship a bike overseas.
