Hi Hub,

Hopefully someone can help. I have the following:

  1. GRX 2x10 crankset
  2. MT800 shimano BB
  3. Bike with 68mm BB shell

The BB shell came with 3x2.5mm spacers. The advice I received was that, with the above setup, I'd need 2 spacers on the drive side and 1 on the non-drive side. So I've done that, but the crank arm on the non-drive side doesn't have that much spindle to attach on to. The little threaded dust cap can't actually reach the thread of the spindle to screw in.

This is easier to explain with a picture or two. But what am I getting wrong here? Do I just not need the spacers?

Thanks

Nah. Remove the spacers. The GRX crankset is road spec dimensions as far as I remember.

So 68mm shell needs no spacers. Just double check your chainring clearance on the chainstay

Thanks - will give it a try.
