the R554 between Rondebult and Osborn, towards Carnival City doesn’t have a hard shoulder for parts of the section in the image.

I wont be going further east than rondebult, will I still be ok ?

yes, but with a starting speed limit being lower the driver speed will be lower -  speed limit + 50%

Thanks Frosty, did your route to and from Alberton on Saturday. Not a bad route, roads are a little worse for wear through the Wadeville section but early on a Saturday morning with very little traffic its easy enough to go around or bunny hop over sections.

I might give the R554 route a try next time.
