Rockshox Parts Compatability

Hi just a few q's re a Rockshox Monarch RL and parts interchangability.

Can you use the damper body from say a 184 x 44 for a 165 x 38 shock? Is it merely a case of correctlysetting the IFP depth or are they different?

Are any other internals interchangeable?

The reason I'm asking is that I have an older RL (silver damper body) that I think is either 184 x 44 or similar as a "donor" and have a 165 x 38 (black damper body) that has a tiny nick 3/4 down the damper body and I was considering swapping it out?

Rplying to my own thread.........After some research I see the various damper bodies are different part numbers......

Lengths differ so no , once screwed onto the damper sealhead the shock lengths will change nevermind if it will even function

Are any other internals interchangeable? Damper piston, compression and rebound adjusters and eyelet are interchangeable, all other parts are size specific. But it'll depend on how old the old one is - there was a point that they changed from a coarse thread can and a 9mm damper shaft to a fine thread can and a 10mm damper shaft.
