Address navigation on Garmin 1040

I'm transitioning to a Garmin 1040 solar and have all the maps I need loaded via Express.

When I try to search for a street, it asks me to enter the country, but South Africa isn't found, though Spain is... So street navigation isn't possible

Is it because address routing isn't available here? I've checked the maps loaded are, so I'm lost - not literally, just on my new device.

The change region under Europe is to select which part to use - not available for Africa. However, I can select towns etc from a list on the device and navigate there, so there is (some) supporting data and turn-by-turn is possible.

Any help appreciated

Does the 1040 come in a Africa maps version, like the 530 and 830? I think it's called TOPO AFRICA?
