Yep. The business of pro cycling is a joke. People can do what they want with their lives but these arseholes will no longer have my support. I love to ride partly because its 'good' for me. So what these guys are doing doesn't relate.

Have been jumping up and down cheering these guys on but the fizz is now gone. Have been rooting for "The Cobra" and the boy lets me down like this. BS, I tell you, BS. I cannot cheer a cheat.

I'll ALWAYS watch the mountain stages' date=' love the pain, the fans, the descents... apart from that I have pretty much lost interest:

Sprints: Petacchi, Boonen aren't in the race, McEwen and Hunter are not performing.... only redeeming factor is Cavendish.

Mountains: Ricco banned, rasmussen banned, contador, basso banned.. Valverde very disappointing

White Jersey - never interested me in the past

Yellow: LA retired, Jan + Basso banned retired, vino, Contador, rusmussen, etc etc etc banned.

So quality wise its like watching the Vuelta where most of the stars are missing.

Hopefully the Evans/ Schleck/ Sastre dual will liven things up.

i find it a little sad that his achievement is overshadowed by ricco's drug bust. that boy is phenomenal. i hope he caps off a great year by shaping at the olympics.

how ironic. if cavendish takes today's stage, he'll be the first sprinter to win four stages since 2003. who did it then? petacchi, who's serving a doping suspension?

a different take on the busts:

Cadel Evans said he welcomed the drugs busts, and "that the sport is being cleaned up in serious, fair and transparent way. Our sport is being crucified for doing the right thing."
? Evans rode alongside the car of the Tour director, and said: "'Rest assured, we're on the road toward a clean sport,"' Prudhomme said.

and i'm, hoping that this stays true:

Cavendish is considered symbolic of cycling's 'new wave' of riders who shun doping and openly hit out at the cheats who damage its reputation.
? the 23-year-old fought to hold back his anger on a day when celebration should have been his sole priority.
"I think in any aspect of life you're going to get people who think they are more clever than the system, whether it's cycling or any other sport or even in business," said Cavendish.
"I'm in this sport because it's one I love and feel passionate about. I put in a lot of hard work and want to get the best out of that hard work. I don't want to tarnish the sport that I love.
"Cycling's not just a job, it's a passion. Maybe the people who resort to doping don't have the passion that myself and a lot of other people have."

it has waned slightly ... i must admit, the other day I was so excited with Dicco's performance, but now i am really dissapointed ... let hope it gets cleaned up quickly.

I will always support cycling, there is dopin in most sports, but like they say, Cycling is only in the new because of it transparent effort to clean the sport up ...

We should focus on the doping inside the Chess world ... I heard it is very very rife ... what to do I ask, what to do .. ? LOL

thats just nuts man ... pretty cool though if you go up against the "kid whose lunch always got stolen" .  Thos ones are usually very good at games like chess ... if he starts beating you, you can "beat" him ... beat the cr@p outta the guy ... hehehehe .... pity they can't make a drug for doping that makes you smarter .... I would sponsor the government out of my own pocket for their doping programme .... eish , what a topic change ... gotta love it ..Sleepy

Maybe some serious riders can help me out here. Do team members know/suspect their colleagues are doping? When these guys get bust are they totally surprised or just nervous that they are going to get caught next?

So the Dude getting bust for that one "LEEETLE TOO MUCH" spritz of Asthma stuff is not actually that stoopid. He's hovering on the border line and just oversteps it?

What's the story with Bjarne Riis? Did he not admit to doping?
