I received a proof of payment and let the bike go. It then turned out the pop was fraud. Appartly one can verify the validity of a pop using the ref nr on the pop. Found that out too late.

So many people fall for this, over and over. I have been a victim, twice, so I know how it feels. You feel like a real numpty after the fact.

Ah man, sorry to hear. That's such a common scam on FB Marketplace. Such a lovely bike as well, I'll keep my eye out on the vintage scene to see if it pops up.
