Chain waxing kit

Apparently no need to rinse with boiling water , just a wipe down and back into wax. The boiling water is if you want to “reset” the chain. This is according to Zero Friction anyway . I use the Molten Speed Wax. 
For the trainer bike, I use also use the Silca Super Secret as it lets messy from a flaking perspective.
I’ve managed to get a wipperman link, which can be re-used safely. 
can’t understand why no one in SA sells them.

Okay epic.. thanks.. I’m playing around with the temperature and consistency just with candles and whatnot now but I don’t seem to have reusable quick links anymore.. I’ll get and get the Silca stuff when I do my chain.. 

 

at the moment I’m doing that distance every couple weeks to a month, will increase when I’m in proper training for a race. So might line up nicely with my cleaning and maintenance routine.. it’s sort of a bi monthly routine..

I also have one of those kmc black chains which I see the wax doesn’t stick nicely to that black finish.. so will see..

Yeah I do the boiling water anyway to remove any extra contaminants and get more treatments out of the wax but it's not 100% necessary. Again, I do 4-6 chains at a time.
