Hi all, i have 2 bikes, bike A and B. I want to sell bike A that has an amazing - sram xx1 12 speed groupset (cassette, chain, derailleur and shifter)

My other bike, bike B has a GX 12 speed groupset .

My question is - can I take the derailleur and shifter ONLY from bike A (xx1) and fit it to bike B (gx) - and then take the parts from bike B and fit to bike A.

ie: can I run an xx1 derailleur and shifter with a GX cassette and chain….. or is it best to swap out complete groupsets. (The cassette/chain on groupset A (xx1) has about 65% life left, whereas cassette/chain on groupset B (gx) has about 90% life left.

Thanks in advance!

SRAM 12 speed is SRAM 12 speed. The derailleurs and shifters are pretty much the same in terms of function and fit. So there wouldn't be any issues.

**Shifters, derailleurs, chains only. Cassettes may vary between sub-models like SX/NX

100% all interchangeable in terms of what you propose. However I would change it all over, that xx1, even if more used will hands down outlast the gx cassette and chain

SRAM 12 speed EAGLE components are all interchangeable, not all SRAM 12 speed.
