Rear derailleur service - Pretoria

+1 on a sticky B knuckle. Can be a pig to get out, I often have to press them out with a vice if they get proper stuck.

A good thing to add to your service routine every now and then.

Hi all - an update.

@thebob's video showed me my mistake clearly -  totally misunderstood the way the unwinding and rewinding of the tension spring works.  Took the derailleur off again, wound it up as per the video, put it back and the problem is basically gone.  I still need properly clean it, so it is not as smooth as it should be, but between the bunch of you you've saved me from buying a derailleur.

Thanks!
