Is 27.5” dead(ish)?

While replacing my frames bearings I noticed that the tread on the chain stay is buggered. Seems like it was an issue on the 2019 GG bikes and while they were still around they did warranty replacements on them and I can get a fresh one from Canfield but luckily there is another solution, a sex bolt. 
Any way. This whole thing had me pondering a new frame. Does not seem like there are too many options out there that are not MX esp frame only options.
