"WADA chief Fahey said Monday that cycling was among several sports, including weightlifting, that risked their Olympic futures if they continue to be plagued by doping"

Agggg bloody please Angry then I'd like to see track and field and swimming etc to be at risk to loose their Olympic future as well.  A female USA swimmer tested + 2 weeks before the Olymics started....and what are they doing with all the medals to got back from Marion Jones.....

I think they should consider to test a certain yank swimmer, or is this also due to the superman-speedo.

funny thing about the threat to expel cycling from the Olympics, never have I heard anyone utter the same sentence about weight lifting, which must account for more positive tests per major sporting event, than any other sport on the planet. Not one person has suggested that the 100metres be dropped because of rampant doping amongst sprinters either.... funny that.

Guess it's got nothing to do with the media profile of cycling Vs weightlifting, with it's mass market appeal and regular features in global media.......! Mainstream media driven scapegoat anyone...

Who cares, cycling doesn't need McQuaid...

ClapClapClap

The UCI should stick to making rules, not trying to make money.

Quick, some one show me a picture of McQuaid riding a bicycle...

North Korean shooter Kim Jong Su failed a doping test and was stripped of his silver medal in the 50-meter pistol and bronze in the 10-meter air pistol. The 31-year-old Kim was also barred from the Games, the International Olympic Committee said.
