He finished 14th at the marathon world champs last month. Olympic cycling qualification is done on nation UCI rankings. The higher the country is ranked, the more riders it qualifies. I think the max for MTB is only two though.

His name's Burry Stander and he's currently leading the U23 World Cup standings and lying 4th overall with several podium finishes.
