I bought a polar cs200 about for months ago.

There seems to be strange noises coming from it even when it?s off.

Its like a gliching sound. I have replaced the battery as the old one was dead (how long do they normally last?)

What could it be I have checked everthing.

Any suggestions??????

Not sure on the noises but my battery lasted much much longer than 4 months - I recently had it "serviced" at Polar thro' my LBS - replaced batteries / cleaned the strap etc.. for around R160.

I suggest if it's only 4 months old take it back -- U still have U'r receipt ?? Sure they'll be accommodating !!

The Polar guys in Midrand are super-efficient and will more than likely fix it for you while you wait... oh and my CS200 battery lasted longer than a year before I replaced it.

Depending how much you train and how long the unit was energised before being sold, a battery should last about two years. When you buy the unit there is supposed to be a piece of plastic between the battery and contacts which you pull out after purchasing it, but sometimes the people pull it out so they can play around with it. But 4 months is a bit short. It sounds like you could have a problem with the unit.Speed Devil2008-08-30 07:14:23
