He wants a 'bling' saddle, I think the Phenom will be too 'fugly' for him. It is not a bad saddle by any means or a bad looking saddle at that, but does not have the looks of the likes of the Prologo, Fizi'k and Selle Italia. The Specialized Toupe is more what he is after I think, or am I wrong Desmond? Wink

On that note, I recommend you consider the Toupe, Specialized have a very useful body geometry innovation, and you can choose the saddle that best suits your geometry. The Toupe comes in different widths to accomodate for all shapes and sizes, you can choose the size which suits you best. Plus its one of the best looking and most competitively priced saddles on the market.

I just got back from Linden and they have a black Cool Choice saddle in their bin for R400.95

You can not pick a brand just because you feel like it. Get one that works and disregard the brand. I'm very surprised with my R250 SDG Bell-air I got for my MTB. I did not know I could get for comfortable then my Selle Italia XO.

I've used an aliante before. It was comfortable but made my balls numb on long rides, which negativelty affected my performace off the bike.

I am currently using a Selle Iatalia SLK, which simply does not work for me. Most people say the Arione is the best, but like we all know this is a trail and error process. I am ordering a white one today. Pretty expensive at R1500!

Fizik Arione is the way to go...

...for you butt. My butt likes the wavy/spoon kind of saddles like the Aliante. Each person is different.

Small butt: Fizik Arione

Big butt: wavy/spoon kind of saddle  Wink
