I did a ride on my own there just after the first snow of the season and I didn't take any pics' date=' but it was really cool. The cows use the direction markers as scratching poles and I ended up doing the black route while it was soaked. I did the 10km ride and it took me all morning....that black long route would have taken me the whole blinken weekend !!

Maybe I lost track of time and maybe I was flying on the rest of the track, but I only rode about 2,5hours. And man it was cold with the snow on the mountains. Riding in the shade was NOT the prefered place to be.

Cows do use the sign boards as scratch poles, but did you not get a printout of the Google Earth map at the start?We did the long (red) route a month ago and did not get lost once, but we used the map.If you took a short cut, you probably missed some of the nice single track. Black route was too wet to ride unfortunately.

BTW, that ride didn't get my official time, but the polar showed 2 hours exactly. Not bad for a first ride since 2006. Soooooo, I might look like the ouma, but I am not the slowest out there
