Good day! I am currently wanting to buy new pedals, but i have come to an dead end.  I am currently using Dura-Ace ones but use to race with Keo Sprints.  When i baught the Dura-Ace after riding with Keo's for one year, the Dura-Ace ones felt more comfortable.  Which pedals to buy next ? Speed Play or Keo Carbon ? Can someone please help !

Kind regards,

Why change? Ride with what you know. If you change you have all the crap with cleat postion again. And if the pedals/cleats are not the same thickness then you have to adjust your seat aswell.

I got the Keo Carbons, weigh 228g

Nice pedals, thing is, I always struggle to get my cleat into them when pulling off - I think the balance isn't right and takes a few jabs to get them the right way up to "clip-in"

Other gripe is the cleats dissolve like Eno's...

Although, they're reasonably inexpensive, they dont lose any of their "clip-in-grip" like others do (as the cleat wears).

Positive, dont feel glassy at all, where you put your foot is where it will stay. The perfect amount of friction between the pedal and cleat.

I agree with carlo, the keo are great but i also struggle when trying to clip in, i believe is a problem with the balance too.

and true! the cleats dont last long if you walk around with them, they are extremely soft!!

sorry to hi-jack the thread but Mr.Look will confirm that there is a new cleat out that has rubbers on the tips of the cleats to make walking easier.

Speedplays - look good and do the business!!!

...provided you don't get a speck of dust in the mechanism Wink

Look Keo's get my vote. The Carbons are super light and work brilliantly. If you're going to walk around in your road shoes get some MTB shoes and SPD's or get yourself some of these, problem solved:

Just to point out, my Keo Carbons did come with the covers. But I'm lazy and dont always carry them around with me at the off chance I walk aroun in my shoes.

But with the VERY minimal walking I have done on my cleats (as in put my foot down at the robots or walk out the house to the road), they have worn very rapidly...!

Still great pedals- and would buy them all over again.

The memory clip is a brilliant idea, only thing is only rediculously super-dooper expensive shoes (R3500+) have catered for this.

Mr Look, where can one purchase those lekker cleats, and how much?
