Click klaking

This weird clicking sound comes from my headset every time I apply more or less pressure on the handle bars or ride over bumps(again changing weight on the bars)

Alu frame, carbon fork. Thats about as much as I know.

 

What could this be?

you need a new headset?

 

or if it is an aheadset, check the tensioning on the stem and crown bolts.

Bar/stem.... unless the steering is affected, it's probably not the headset...

Clean your bike's headset.

 

Most probably some dirt in the bearing cage.  Mine did the same .  Cleaned re greased and WALA no more clicking

Clean and regreas the stem where it connects to the fork and the bars. But don't use grease or copper slip if it's carbon. Use special carbon paste then.

So the consensus is clean well, if no improvement take to LBS to have it checked out (I'm no bike mecci)

I had a clicking from the bar/stem area during a ride. 5 minutes later the bars snapped at the stem while I was doing 67km/h. It was a result of a previous crash a year before. So don't take any chances. have it checked thoroughly.

I have given up trying to fix the creaks on my bicycle. Stipped the entire thing down and greased all the suspension joints and every other part bar the disk brakes. Still creaks and groans. Going to do the bike mech course tomorrow night at Silverlakes and see if they can help me silence my stead
