Nee, actually.... Hier Kom Baie Groot KaCensored'as....

All Olympic Dope Control Samples are going to be retested with the newly developed Test for CERA EPO!!!

Hang the Bastards!!!!!!  Hang the Bastards!!!!!!ConfusedConfused

There are going to be a LOT of very very nervous athletes in the next couple of months....

What an idiotic remark by Baden Cooke... chop!!!!

"I guarantee you the sport has never been cleaner," Baden Cooke of Team Barloworld said, according to the Herald Sun. "There are probably only five blokes out of 200 doing it, (LOLCryLOLCry What a LAUGH!!! I nearly fell off my chair!!!!!) but they're the reason the sport's in turmoil and the reason there's a lot of really good riders who can't get a contract. There's a lot of anger among them because it's costing everyone a lot of money and their careers." said Cooke

They should have thought about that before doping, Chop!!!!!

Good stuff! Hope they test all endurance athlete samples and not just those of the cyclists. It's about time the other sports were exposed too!

Should be very interesting when the results come out.

I wonder how many riders were on this CERA EPO at the Olympics - I mean they obviously knew it was detectable after Ricco, Beltran and Duenas got caught during the Tour de France, so why risk using it in the Olympics if they know it will show up on doping control? Judging by Schumacher's poor performances in the road race and time trial, I'm guessing he opted not to take that risk.

They should much rather re-test the Giro d'Italia samples (when nobody knew CERA was detectable) - Now that would deliver some shocking results!

They are now re-testing all the Tour de France samples to ensure the tests were correct. Believe Shumacher was under suspition for the TDF.

I bet Contador is breathing a big sigh of relief he wasn't invited to TDF.

Look at all the CERA dopers he beat at the Giro smiley3.gif

To further elaborate what Joss mentioned

From Cyclingnews.com

There may be more positives from the Tour de France, as French anti-doping boss Pierre Bordry has said that his agency will go after riders who used autologous blood transfusions. "We already have serious evidence about cases of such autologous transfusions," Bordry said in an interview with the German television sender ZDF. "As to who might be involved, we will be able to say that later."

The AFLD, the French anti-doping agency, has a new method of detecting such transfusions, a method which was not available earlier. The agency will use the method to test the doping samples of suspect riders.

At the moment the agency is busy checking samples for CERA, the new EPO, "but soon we will be able to prove autologous transfusions and we will then test with it."

The agency already has its eye on riders who demonstrated irregular blood values before the Tour, about 30 altogether, (hmmm so much for Cooke'ies only 5 out of 200Confused) and has already informed the riders and their teams. Some of the riders had their blood values returned to normal during the Tour, but others did not. "Some of the suspect riders got back to their normal values. We were very surprised to see, how weak their performance became," Bordry said. (Very interresting!!!!!)

Now that is a useful test! Wonder how many riders will have to update their CVs and sit their families down for a chat?

"Um, mom, you know that Stage I won in the Tour, well, it wasn't actually that packet of jelly babies you sent me that made me feel so strong that day."

Don't think we will see a lot of positives for Cera at the Olympics!!

After the Tour the news would have been out and most "Doctors" at that level would have informed there guy's to stop using the drug!Dead

How far back is it detectable? i.e. if used in TdF would it still be around during Olympics?

How long does the benefit last?. Does prolonged use build your endurance and if you stop say two weeks before TdF would there still be a benefit?

Last night it emerged that the Swiss company that created Cera and marketed it

as an aid to those suffering from kidney disease and anaemia had been

working with the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) for four years. ?We

provided data and then sent samples, so they could work and develop the

test,? Claudia Schmitt, of Roche Holding AG, said.

Cera remains in the system three times longer than EPO, making it easier to

detect.......suggest that Cera?s days as a blood-booster are numbered

Emmanuelle Moreau, an IOC official, said that endurance events would be

targeted.

the IOC is transporting up to 1,000 blood samples from its deep-freeze in

Beijing to the Wadaaccredited laboratory in Lausanne, Switzerland.
