I see that hifi corp has a warranty on its "parallel" imports - labeled instore as hifi corp import

"We support both local and international suppliers.

Products bearing this icon are 100% guaranteed by

Hi-Fi Corporation and not by the authorised SA

distributors, who are under no obligation to honour

the manufactuers warranty or provide after sales

service.

"

Now - this is actually what a free market is about. Pricing should competitive. If you are too expensive, then market forces will cause you to drop your price to be competitive. If there is price collusion, the fines must be heavy. Sasol has experienced this first hand.

But I would rather have my Panasonic tv repaired under warrantee by Panasonic techies then an Hi-Fi corruption techie that needs to push out 50 repairs a day.

A free market also needs free will to buy where you get the best price, not some hoity toity cycles retailers telling me I'm gonna pay the same no matter where I buy.

i will NEVER buy from them again, every single thing i ever bought from them had to go back and be repaired, or you get your money back to go buy more sh%t from their shop(ok that was my rant for the day)Big%20smile

...a place I stay very far away from. Their customer service/return line is usually longer than the line at the cashiers.

you're not kidding. You must go on a saturday morning and take notes of who walks out of that place with stuff and go back the Sunday morning and you will see the same people returning it.

you guys are clowns...

you bitch and moan when the retailers want to make more money. Then when a retailer comes along and doesnt do what the distributors say so that they can sell the products cheaper, you bitch about service.

basically, you get what you pay for.. if you want amazing service, someone who goes the extra mile, then be prepared to pay for it..
