Turtlek suggestio of using the Specialities TA Rings is the most cost effective method of going 29x44 without buying a new crank. My expereince with their rings is that they shift well and have good longevity. Cannondale Hollowgram is BB30 compatible only and the Specialized knock off is proprietry equipment on an S-Works.
