As you can see here (on the hub) there are a lot of guys which have a lot of knowledge about bikes. So why not post more specific details about the bike, maybe a pic, price, etc and they can inform you if it is a good buy or not. You might even also get some good suggestions and end up with something better.Wink

From the specs you mentioned, this is real bottom of the line stuff, Makro type stuff!

You don't mention where you are, so can't recommend any shops, but suggest that you rather go to genuine bike shop, where you will get proper advice, and most of all backup service. SW is not really a bike shop, no offence to them, but it is just another of the many items they sell.

Most good bike shops will have end of range models at reasonable prices abou this time of the year, and many of them also stock good second hand bikes at good prices.

If you name a budget, sure that some hubber will be able to offer you better as well.

OK for a very basic bike but resale on them is not good and if you do decide to upgrade it will be expensive. Perhaps rather get a used bike with better frame group sets and wheels.

wow guys your'll really scaring me here actualy

....it means that i really have to break the bank's vault here..my max budget is R4000 thats it. i dont think i'l be looking for upgrades and all that stuff.i'm just buying a bike to see whether i've found the ideal method to keep fit and keep discipline about cycling knowing how i am when it comes to picking up new a things and running with it for a short while...since i've tried running and pounding on that hard ground is not ideal for me.

And if i can maintain that discipline then i'll upgrade to the more serious stages of buying bike those at +R10000....so guys please  bare in mind about this..oh though i have seen a SCOTT thats 5000 but still to much at cajees at the glen
