How much does the frame including shock weigh? and how much does the fork weigh??

How much does the frame including shock weigh? and how much does the fork weigh?? Haven't weighed the frame seperately, but Giant's "official" weight is 2.28kg for a medium. Forks weighs 1490g uncut.

He was telling us that Giant were moving away from carbon as they felt they could achieve the same weight with ali and the carbon offered no real benefits. Finally seems like someone is brave enough to ignore all the marketing hype.

niterider Posted October 22, 2008 Author Posted October 22, 2008 Adam Craig rode an Anthem X in the last 2 rounds of the World Cup this year. Including the one in the US that he won. All other races he rode on his carbon hardtail. Not sure whether he rode an Advanced last year.
stringbean Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Seen this myself on the scale.Often the diff between a company Top of the line carbon FS frame and bottom of the line Ally FS frame is less than 100g.They will all tell you how much better the carbon FS rides but all marketing BS.Huge diff between carbon and ally HT but not much when you go to the FS.Not worth the extra 10-20K that they are asking.Giant has done a good thing if you ask me.
