nope - you loose your cycling noob status ONLY with cycling related incidents... that is what i was trying to say Wink

Noob status can also be removed by riding some really difficult or popular race well, like Sabie Experience, Dirtopia, Cape Epic ext.  ALthough if you are first a successful roadie, that bad karma will follow you every where, and hard core MTBkers will always refer to you as a Noob or a roadie or a lot of less pleasant things.

 

Mtb cred comes from more than just racing.  HR vouches for beer drinking.

Spidy was known for fairy hunting.  (ie being able to (on a mtb) chase and pass roadies). 

 

Lappies got a lot of cred for winning the CV at the Telkom challenge.

Ok.. Definitely not gonna win anything anytime soon... never owned a road bike, so I luckily miss that classification... beer I can do, and planning on doing the Sani2sea pretty soon! Wink
