Colin - is there any reason that we can't get whasp gels from the LBS in Durban. When i was in there last week they said all the bike shops in Durbs had decided to stop carrying stock of Whasp

Colin, I used it  for the Bakwena, on the turn around, into the wind. I was not disapointed... But I believe in "Pepto Pro" as I always mixed it in with my endurance bottle. I did not this time as I wanted to test the Gel.

Do I carry on mixing PTP into my bottle and still use the Gel, or will it be to much????????

You gotta work out the quantities! Its probably gonna be too much...Im not a nutritional pro but it makes sense to me that you take one or the other...

I also tried it at the bakwena - the taste is a million times better!

hard to tell the effects, but I finished the race in 2.50, and have not ridden more than 40kms since Lost city, so I guess it had it's part to play.

Overall I'm happy!

Used one on a training ride on Saturday....tastes very good, I think it was a lime flavour, did not check due to blurred vision from being totally knackered.

I did not feel any kick but I got through the ride in quick time so I will give the credit to the Gel and not my own ability.;

What is reatil price on them please? Got this one from a fellow rider as I did the Rennies. Getting good at this bumming thing soon I won't be packing water bottles!!

Retail should be R17 each, pepto pro is expensive...there isnt caffeine in it so you shouldn't feel a kick..you should just feel strong the whole way which you did

No, i dunno what energy dynamics you take. But i tried one and i almost puked! It tastes like you eating sun block!

 

 

 

To me GU tastes the best, but Whasp works the best!
