Sunringle EQ21disc rim problems

Has anybody tried to fit tyres onto these rims? You need EPO before attempting it. Could not fit Hutchinson Pythons or Kenda Karma on it. Its to tight.

if you are using the UST versions of the tires then you will have a problem hehehehe those tires on those rims are so airtight it is scary!!!!!

I tried both UST versions. Got a Larson TT non-tubeless to fit in the end. Its so tight that I inflated it with a footpump in 2 seconds

How has the EQ21 rim performed since this post? I'm thinking of getting them laced to Hope Pro 2 hubs and DTSwiss competition spokes....Should end up being pretty light.

 

PS I've heard they are only suited to light riders....truth?

WE tried 3 UST type tyres - Kenda; Hutshinson andShwalbe Racing Ralphs; Only Larsons TT  fitted on it. Also had Hope 2's; Stay away;WE damaged the  1 rim eventually; Build it then over onto Mavic 819 rims

Rim diameter comes down by up to 4mm with proper spoke tension. I'm willing to bet that the wheels didn't have enough tension to start off with.
