Screw that! The fixie courier riders ride agressively because that's the only way you stay alive working as a courier.

I'd disagree with you there. Generally they ride agressive, because they can. Adrenaline and testostorone being important here. It doesn't make you much faster to ride agressive and more than often you have two equally fast lanes to choose - the agressive and the not agressive one.

 

EDIT: and a messenger rides like a messenger, independent on fixie or not. only the fixi rider has to take his stopping more into consideration if he doesn't have a handbrake on the bike.
