Slave is a disciple of the old school' date=' as poor as a church mouse.

he believes this new technology will [s']harm his chances of becoming a World Class rider (read South of Jhb steps champion).[/s] not really improve hs riding but won't harm it either.

He feels so comfortable with his bike and equipment, that not even the fiercest crim south of jo'ies will be able to seperate the two. Any oke tries to open the farm gate without my express permission is likely to get hurt, bad.

Whisper - I did see him enquire about a bike on the hub, but just make sure he doesnt know, we know. So maybe he is resting because he's waiting a new bike? He's resting because he's tired and cantankerous.

In the meantime, he rides up a big storm on the Pjou, so no prob there. He even kicks the fast bunch's ass up the steps every now and then.

If I can ride a farm gate, I can ride anything. It just so happens, it's the only 9 speed farm gate round. And if I can do this on a fram gate, imagine what I could do on another bike. (Exactly the same as I do now.) Lance said, "It's not about the bike." Trust me, I believe.

I love to kick ass on that farm gate. It feels good to drop some of those other riders on thier fancy bikes.

It sucks to get my ass dropped though, no matter what bike I ride.

Peejou and I have been mates for years, how could I part with it? Huh? Huh? How?

I dont think you can use:

- normal

- shopping

- woman

in the same sentence, without being extremely irresponsible.

Looking at some of the posts of wheels and bikes on the hub, it seems the same with some men?

toys / boys equates to women / shopping

non-normal female shopping behaviour = scroogelike?

Yip, and it is never too late to have a happy childhood.

They say you can tell the age of the boy by the price tag of his toy.

If that's true, I must be very young.

Are you sure you a woman ??

A woman that hates shopping is almost unheard of, you only the 2nd woman that I've met that hates shopping.

So your retail therapy consists of buying, tyres, bottle holders, bombs, tubes and if you realy upset you'll buy a new bike ??

So there I was again this morning for some more self inflicted bodily harm, 5:10 @ Steers, not a soul in sight.

Don't know what happened to the rest of the group, and no, I wasnt late, and if I was they never passed me, as I was coming from the direction they normally ride in. Maybe they decided on a diff route, after my inability yesterday morn.

I ended up riding in the rain, on my own for 30 k's, between 11 and 12 degrees......

Frosty you know what happened this morning?

Er kid, I have it on reasonable authority that WW fits the general discription of being of the "tender gender."

IIRC a fair specimen too. Easy on the eyes.

Trubie, if you realised it was raining the whole of last night, hence, no one went to ride this morning. BECAUSE IT WAS WET AND RAININGsmiley8.gif

Hope to see you there tomorrow!!!

why would anyone go and ride in the rain at 5am..Thats is why we use a gym ...

Because we want to prove that roadies isn't softies, secondly it wasnt raining, and thirdly I've heard they say it builds character, and most NB - if you train when everyone else is sleeping, you obviously have an advantage (or maybe just a huge mental disability)
