Slave, firstly is the Kid actually human or does he coniser it competitive to race one legged dogs? Secondly what did you say in the email about not riding 94.7 if it is raining? Now you don't have any excuses! ;-)

What is this about Hekpoort that Nancey organises? Does it include the hill? smiley4.gif

It is the MTb version of Hekpoort - Breedts Nek. If cycling there on gravel, and up is not enough you can always race down the other side, turn around and come back... Was 66 odd KM last year - including down the other side) 950m ascent. Lots safer than the tar flavour Hekpoort...!

www.treadmag.co.za is gong to organise a Breedts nek Bruiser ride.... can only be FUN FUN FUN  smiley4.gif

Maybe we should enquire with Holy Roller / Sean Badenhorst....? Good & FUN hill training!

Kid and I have now (I think) finalised our weekend ride. His kid seems to be making noises about cold fronts. Buncha soft pansies.

So it may be alittle cold. I hasn't hurt me too badly yet (except for the WWRR).

Guys' date=' this is cycling. Conditions are not always ideal and we have to suck it up. This is part of a committment to ourt training regimen that allows us to set and achieve goals.

If you don't train, you dont get a good 94.7 challenge time and then you set weak goals like 4 hours.

So, are we riding or not. I have commitments from my neighbour and from teeny. I am in regardless.

Kid, you will only go indigo in colour if the temp is below zero. Sides, we are already leaving slightly later so it will be a bit wamer.

Nail your colours to the mast. You in or you chicken?

Yip, I'm still in for this weekends rides if you up to it.

But 4hrs is a good challange time - for me.

I like your line, Go BIG or Go HOME smiley4.gifsmiley4.gifsmiley4.gif

Ox, you just continue training for IronMan and leave the small guys alone.

Yo Indigo.. I am NOT training for Iron Man... As I've stated on another channel, I intend NEVER to run further than a 1/2 marathon. NEVER, EVER!!

You got that? I WILL NOT RUN FURTHER than 21.1km. EVER!!!

All I want to do is get to the other side of a duathlon, and still feel fresh, and not be bushed!

But, you.. pumping iron all the time? Are you going to enter the world strong man competition, or is it for Mr Universe?

Nancy, you seriously are getting the wrong signals there! You are not being dumped.

And for IK being better looking (as a female?), and IK pumping iron.. have you seen all those iron pumping ladies lads being posted on THAT thread? You reckon the iron pumping IK (like those ladies lads), are better looking than YOU?

Maybe you should get a mirror, coz you have a surprise waiting against the wall!

94.7

BIG DIFFS smiley4.gifsmiley4.gifsmiley4.gif

Maybe according to Winningtime Racetec, but last year it was short. Just check all the moans and groans on the hub about it.

Me personally, according to my Polar (which I'm getting Back today!!!), did 91.3km not deviating from the route at ALL!

IK, Ox  - you guys can talk a lot of coddswallop......................smiley18.gif

As for the distance Ox, I am aware of the facts, did it myself last yearsmiley2.gif

They gave undertaking that it'll be closer to the 94.7 this year. For IK, its 94.7, dont want to start confusing him and his target time and the new Polar and the muscle fatigue that sets in from 95 k's etc, etc....

WHAT, they making it longer smiley7.gifsmiley7.gifsmiley7.gif

I'm going to speak to the organizers, this is unacceptable and reading another thread the 1st watering point is 26km from the start smiley3.gifsmiley3.gifsmiley3.gif

So, take two bottles.

When I rode the Peejou in my first two challenges, I only had one bottle on the bike.

So, what you're in effect saying is that you set a goal time of 4 hours to do one by 94.7 challenge which is in effect only 90 or 91 km being a short course.

So since there is talk of it being increased to an actual 94.7 distance, you are going to revise your goal to 4 hrs and 30 minutes?smiley8.gif

All the one legged dogs are going to beat you and so is Nance.

Yes IK, they are lengthening it. They wanted to make it a challenge so now it is 194.7km! As it is a Joburg race they wanted to included more parts of Joburg. So you still sticking for 4h or increasing it to 5h? smiley36.gif
