Kieran, according to Slave the rain dance is when 22 men go to a field. They then decide that 9 will leave the field and 11 of the remaining men with throw a ball at the other 2 while they try run between little sticks in the ground. As far as I know he has not taken up that yet, although he does want to take up bowls. smiley36.gif Unless someone else has taking up the rain dance???? smiley5.gif

True!

Os even went and entered his adventure/orienteering race' date=' no iron and all, to get out of SBR!

Not quite... SBR is hard core. Chasing 'easter eggs' was fun, and only as strenuous as you want to make it. With SBR you cannot back flatten the hills, you need to get over them. Let me just get over/through this iron thingy, and then we can talk about SBR as well... I'm getting some more results tomorrow, so lets just wait and see what is what.

And d4mmit go here https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=69089 and help me out with choosing a bike

Well Os, once you got your iron back then no more excuses!! You can't back out now! As Slave says, "commitment!".

Sure will help you out! Kid may have his silverback to sell. Buy it!

Andy, what is the pecking order between groupsets:

Sram Rival

Sram Force

Shimano 105

Microshift

Regarding the SRAM, Force is above Rival. Not quite sure where 105 would fit in but I would think that it would be between Force and Rival. Microshift I am not too clued up on. I stand to correction but from the small bit I have heard of Microshift I think the out of the ones you listed it would be the top ranked groupset. Based on what I know and out of those listed I would go for SRAM Force. I am extremely happy with my SRAM Red! And SRAM has done some filtering down with the technology.

There were 11 South Africans and 11 Pommies who did the rain dance on Friday. Useless bunch. It never rained.

Then the did another yesterday and the useless SA team were praying for rain to get all the whitewash off them. Buncha choking choppers.

So you all had a good ride on Sat! It must have hurt the kid because he didn't show up for the bunch ride yesterday.

Hey Doc. good to see you again mate.

Looks like I will have to make a plan to get to SBR or otherwise Kieran is going to be  showing me up and I'll be back to the group slowpoke.

Is this a good time to take up bowls? Even rain dancing is too energetic for me.

Yeah, the ride was great! The Kid rode well, as did Mini-Kid. On Final Climb Kid was the first to drop back (at this stage it was Kid, Mini-Kid and I as Kieran had dropped off somewhere a bit back) and Mini-Kid only dropped of my wheel quite high up - just after the last left hander.

Mini-Kid is definitely one to watch out for in the future!!! If he had to ride SBR over and over then even I will need to watch my back!
