Sooo what are the final arrangements for tmorrows ride. My boss said he wants nothing less than 130km out of me tmorrow. Are we still onn and what time we starting?

Predictor, Tachymeter...spoke to Slave earlier and we are wanting to go tomorrow morning. However, Slave have suggested an earlier start of about 6am at the corner of Swartkoppies and Hennie Alberts. That way we avoid the searing heat thats sure to come.

 

I'm hoping you guys read this and are able to meet at 6am? I dont have contact numbers for either of you.

Thanks for the ride this morning Slave and Tachymeter! Was a pleasure meeting you, and you are well and truly inducted into the ASGR group now! Sheesh, what an introduction ride for you bud! I did not have a computer on the bike today, but it was a fairly long ride.

 

Slave had 2 punctures, the first after just 2km and the 2nd after about an hour of riding. For someone as tall as Slave, he sure can Bunny-Hop!!

 

Seems the South is the place to be training at the moment. This mornings 7am group had Garmin's Robbie Hunter, Radio Shacks Darryl Impey, Nic White and Neil macdonald from Medscheme, Michael Pepper from House of Paint, some serious looking Elite guys in their Asics kit (whose manager is a star for stopping to see if we were ok when Slave punctured.

 

Anyway...saturday we'll have the Indigo Kid back (thanks again for the invite dude! Your a scholar & a gentleman) and we'll start getting him into shape for the FastOne!

 

And a merry Xmas to all the cyclists out there...ride safe and enjoy the festive season...

I'm guessing nobody rode this morning? I was getting ready to leave at +-6 15 and the heavens opened. Was a pretty bad storm...and I just decided to go and do the Criterium Duvet instead.

 

Hopefully I'll be going long tomorrow, weather permitting!

Sorry Narcosis, I only saw your post now. We left Xumbugs this morning at 7am...but I did not see Slave there! Amongst the ASGR guys, Nish4, Tachymeter, Indigo Kid, Mini Me, and yours truly were all present and accounted for!

 

Tachymeter...last I saw you dude was in Randvaal when Hunter and Impey were hanging onto us for dear life!  How was that pace up the Steps? 

Anyone else going along tomorrow morning for repeated torture?!

Dura Ace?! Dude, save the cash and just train more! Its a lot more rewarding...and "Buying yourself fast" is never a good tactic!

 

Rode this morning, hoped to have a slightly more sedate ride today, but it ended up being yet another torture session thanks to the Beneke duo! Hell, that wind was hectic...the last 15km were horrible. Was good seeing Nish4, Tachymeter and MightySpoke(or was that Cruzer?!)

 

Tomorrow again? Anyone coming? I'm expecting the pro's will be back again tomorrow...
