SBR sound's like a reality because I can't do the ARgus this year so I need to punish myself!!!!!!

Then you would need to do SBR twice! smiley2.gif

You should plan to do SBR on the day of the Argus!

I would go there this weekend but I want to rather do a longer ride.

Cant the day of the Argus, it's my 4 year old daughters fifth birthday on Saterday the 13th(kiddies party) and the family is coming over on the 14th, so both days I am stuck with the inlaws and extended inlaw-family.smiley35.gif WThell

SS Timing is sh!t I think. They didn't even pick up my chip in the Komorant. Glad I got my R50 back! Maybe I just rode too fast and they weren't ready for me as a few marshals and metro were still napping in their cars waiting instead of maning the intersections. Also their times for the race were way out! So my experience of them has not been too good up to now.

SS Timing does the triathlon's & no problems.

So I phoned this morning only to be shrugged of by the lady on the other end of the CC number.

She told me I should send a mail BUT she also said she cannot see them changing anything.

I just wrote a mail explaining how I ride for these minor times and places and how I live for only these results.

They should just phone any of the top ten riders in the group and I am sure I will be vindicated.

Ag lets see how this all turns out.

Anyways I recon I will do 40km running this week + 2xSBR on the weekend in prep for Argus.

Should get close to 9 hours training this week.

Not going to taper for Argus as I need to keep on training for IM - Eish.

Talk to all off you soon.

Predictor, do you have any proof that you did the race yesterday ?

Something like a Polar graph or a GPS log ?

If so, send this to them it will make your case a lot stronger.

Then I'd suggest you also get your chip tested as you wouldn't want to go through this again.

To change the topic here...

This is what I've done during Feb:

Running

Cycling Road
Cycling MTB
hh:mm:ss04:54:5506:08:0610:07:35
Km50183141

I did not log most of the bit I did in Jan, so cannot give feedback on that.

All of this just goes to show that a bit of iron in the blood can and DOES make a gigantic difference in a persons ability to perform!

Predictor, now you tell me that CC is going under.

I just bought one for Hummy.

I suppose that's why SS Timing is starting to time cycling events.

Good news for Hummy is that he already has a SS Timing chip.

Where do you get the SS chips from? I enquired about them and Gert from SS Timing says I can't buy one yet because they still getting into the timing and assessing how many races etc they will be timing and will then see if it is worthwhile to sell them.

You can buy them at Triathlon events, they tie around your ankle.

Maybe they'll design one for a bike if they start doing more events.

Andy, since you looking for distance for the weekend, here's an idea.

Ride to Roodeplaat Dam, there is a duathlon happening on sunday. Buy a SS chip @ R 80  and ride back.. shoudl cover it, and you also get your chip!!

Kid, we do the ride Trubie suggests? Since you further south I will wait for you at Buccleuh Interchange, you know where N3 and N1 meet. Look for me on the left hand side if you manage to cross the three lanes from where your super fast (claimed) Bianchi will no doubt be riding! Oh and I know there is a toll at Zambezi offramp, just not sure how much bicycles cost so bring some cash. Maybe for a milkshake as well if we decide to actually hang around at the dam instead of motor pacing back home. You are welcome to come for a milkshake at my house though before continuing south. I will get your visa for the north ready.
