Not too sure about that one kid. I did pledge to my race sponsor (Momentum) last year, that I would ride for their team this year. If they ask, I will ride for them. If not, I may just give the whole thing a big miss.

 

I have to do something about fitness, and running is like not my bag anymore. The knees, hips and anles are just too badly damaged from all my running years ago. Bowls won't quite cut it and neither will golf. Maybe I will be back in late July in time to get fit for 94.7.

 

Business is picking up a gear or two so I have been fairly limited in the week and weekends, I have just been way too lazy.

Setup the bike on the IDT and do 5 sessions each week just to keep the fat off.

 

Otherwise join the gym & come pump some iron

Nancy, Kieran is only on the hub when he is at work.

Kieran Rule of thumb, Kieran on hub = work, Kieran off hub = secret training.

Trubes? Where did you disappear to this morning? Looked for you in the bunch as we went into midvaal but there was no Trubie to be seen?

I felt absolutely flat for the first hour(similar to the almost 4hrs of last sunday), but then things sort of fell into place a bit more and the rest of the ride was fine. We stopped 2x for flats and a pitstop at the Total in Henley. Ended up with 3:30 + ride, so well chuffed with that.(Tachy - what you guys do after turning left at the bottom of the steps?) 

Hopefully we will have a longish ride in the morning, seeing its holiday again.

I was feeling so crap, so when you turned right after the short climb after the gravel section, a coiple of us went left and did an extended longish Bosco thingy with about 12 guys.
