This dog that is now part of my training scheme is about labrador size. And I turned the tables on him. How soon the hunter became the hunted. Stoopid mutt.

 

And I am terryfied of dogs. Dude, Jack russels are overgrown rats.

 

While I think about it, it's beena blast, but I have work to do.

It was tough, but an honest ride, and I am glad about the training I have done thus far otherwise it would have been a lot worse.

Must say the route more difficult than last year. Managed a closer finish to the main A bunch than last year, so all in all quite chuffed - until I see the results

 

Slave - see why you cant ride on weekends. Its cause you saving yrself for the massive parties you at yr place over weekends...... I am watching you!!

No it wasn't - during the week I ride with my boet in the morning (Tu - Fr road) and then MTB on my own most afternoons ....... Weekends MTB long Sat morning and short Sun morning!

Someone told me once that after the age of 40 you get up in the morning and something is not hurting then you dead. I have now reached that point and I am told then you are and "Old Toppie" and apparently I must ride Vets according to Andy! BTW I was in no good shape today the club crit yesterday took its toll so had two days of hard racing so my hat of to Trubie for doing so well today....

I think you should stop worrying about what "Someone" says.

You still have many many miles ahead of you.

You should change that saying to "Racing Snake".

Ferrous, I only said you should ride Vets because you are a racing snake and should ride where the real racing is, not down with us normal riders. How was your race yesterday?

 

My race was not too bad but could've been better if I had had more training time in June and July. Had to really dig very deep yesterday.

Bad race!!! From the start line there was simply no legs so the previous weekends hard training and the crit took its toll. Was dopped after about 17k's, regrouped with some guys and then had a hard race to the end with a not good 2.41 finish. Still not my kind of race need to loose about 10kg's for me to be competitive in such a race.
