Come backs? Hellos again?

Me too, but I've been a bit busy with the running side of things, especially after hurting the shoulder at the Nissan event at Cullinan. Not sure if I'll actually get back into the cycling thingy, except if it involves a tri bike ;) My first love(sport) is still running, and cycling is more of a cross-training / play thing hence the rename etc. Only cycling I do at the moment is when I do a spinning class when the legs need a break from the running :)

Hey Predictor!

Keep in contact. And do be scarce!!!!

Hey Trubie / Andy how you all doing

Of course SBR is on for sure.

Should be fun on the Tandem :)

Sitting in cold and wet DBN getting ready for Amashova,

Some advantage to tandem as we are starting first even before elites.

Sure it wont last long as we start with a slight hill :) (17km) and all.

Will update you all later and good luck to all for the ride.

Shova was a challenge allright!

Just managed to dip under 3 by 6 mins, 1 sec(which was the goal), so cant complain too much. But - them hills hurt ever so slightly :)

How was your Shova Predictor?

Mine was great considering I did the Amashova Up Ride the day before. So got over 200km and about 3000m of climbing in my legs for the weekend. Got dropped at 40km and was losing big chunks of time. But took huge risks on the descents and made up a fair bit of time. Then joined the Standard Bank Express Train and pulled back loads of time to within about 6 minutes of Trubie and about a minute or so of Kid.

Amashova is my favourite route of the cycling calendar.

Your goal was 3 hrs 6 mins and 1 sec and you rode that time. Well done old son. Not many I know can manage that one. Avery respectable time BTW.

Hey Predictor. Long time bud. Most of my riding lately involves commuting. Have not had a decent bunch ride since January just before my accident.

How did the rest of you all fare on the Shova? Kid? Anyone?

Trubie's goal was a sub 3hr and he did a 2:54 (or something close to that)

I did a 2:59, MiniMe did a 3:04 and Andy did a 3:00.

Great race!!!!

Yes, after the killer Shova Up Ride the day before. I was very happy with my time!

Slave, send me an email and I will send you the links to my Garmin data for both rides.

Yo all of you,

My leggs are back and I am smiling,

Like I said before we planned a 40 and at the last moment decided to go long.

The longest my daughter has done was 52km in another flat race.

We started and kept on riding strong and we were aiming for a sub 4.

She cramped the last 20km's and I kept on pedaling along.

When we crossed the line on 3:45 I was quite emotional.

She was in tears as I made the comment that this is her first century medal.

5 mins later she wanted to know what it takes to be pro.

Watch this space :)

I could not be happier and more proud as I know what she went through and came out standing on the other end.

Took out my roadbike for the first time since Argus today for the race on Sat (97km)

Looks like you all are really strong if times are anything to go by :)

Well done to all of you and perhapd see some of you on Sat?
