FOFLMFAO @ Nance.

'K, so this is how things are looking for me for this weekend. For some odd reason I have some serious discomfort where men do not need it. (No, I do not have a pain in the ass or a headache and as far as I know, neither does the wife. Pity I'm not in a position to take advantage of that situation just now. :( )

Let's just say it is somewhat of a challenge to ride a bike round about now. So, I am going to complete my ride home today and maybe, depending on how I feel, take a sick day tomorrow. If I feel ok this weekend, I will be there, if not, well, I guess you all know the routes and will manage fine without me.

I was kinda looking forward to meeting her royal highness, but looks (at this stage) as though that may have to go on the back burner.

Kid, if I haven't checked in by Friday, send the search party. You know where to find me.

I like the sound of SBR can you stop anywhere for tea or drinks there? I found it on google earth and it looks like its very hilly!

Oh my Andy you sound like a very good rider starting in A group! Good luck!

I am very nervous to ride with you all as i think you are all vry far above my level and ability. But i can sprint very quickly! :P

I am looking forward to meeting Nancy and this other girl that rides the tandem.

Thanks Princess Hannah. I need the luck!

SBR is very hilly but one of my favourite places to ride. There a bit of a restaurant at the hotel but it is not the best. Most riders either go to the petroport place on the N3 or the circus for refreshments afterwards. Kid loves the chocolate milkshake at the circus. Says it boosts his recovery after the hills. If you want/need hill training SBR is the place to go.

Don't be nervous. They are a great bunch of riders and one can gave valuable experience.

Thanks Trubie! You are also a racing snake and very fast!

There,I fixed it.

Some (most) of the hills around SBR are like mine shafts. They are not only steep, there are some long climbs as well.

Some of our hubbers do all their training for the Jock at SBR.

Come now Slave!

There are only two hard climbs on the whole loop - the first one and the last one!

Btw - planning to do a slow "socialish" SRB ride next Saturday if anyone wants to join.

Hannah, send a blank mail to pjnot@mweb.co.za, and I will mail you the profile of SBR...

Similar in ascent to 94.7, Amashova, Jacaranda, Argus etc, just all in 58 k's

Sounds much worse than it is.

It would be interesting to see where I would have been seeded if I had entered. Last years 3hr14 turned out to be a reasonable time.

At least they hold their results for two years so when I eneter for next years race, it should give me a pretty decent indication.

Andy, I don't remember what time Kid did last year and maybe "D" is not a bad place at all to start from. The bunches are very big as you know and I think a lot of peeps are probably incorrectly seeded. These are usually the ones that get in the way at the start. :o

As for you and Trubie, I never expected anything less than A bunch. Maybe a little suprised that you are not among the "Elite".

I was in P last year.

At this stage Trubie is only a spectator for this years 94.7.

I did a 3:17 last year and started in V V, so I'm happy being in D for this years 94.7.
