I was thinking of doing that same loop at 5am but then doing a different second loop. Kid has told me about a loop of about 60km. And we don't have to go as fast as we did. Maybe we can persuade Nance to ride again (BigS, do your trick! :P ) Just please get some new tyres (a different model might also be something to think about  )

2 road rides in 1 year dude? You're kidding right .... - as I recall the agreement was that next time it's MTB's at dawn :D

After 94.7 we can do a loop on the road and then do a loop of Rietveli on the MTB.

Slave, at least BigS won't be there on Sunday because he has used up his Road quota for the year. So no pain like yesterday on lap one.

Ok Andy, here's an idea. We can meet up at BC (Broken City) at say 6. Go for a little detour from there up Hennie Alberts, down Michelle, go up Camaro, (leaving out Pieter Ackroyd) pass the Glen shopping center and go up Amanda. From there down Butchers to Xumbugs and we should be in time for the bunch to leave. Take the long loop past the circus and back home to BC. Should be 'bout a 110. As long as I can ride slowly. :P

Anyone else crazy enough to take this one on?

Have you thought this through Slave ????

What the Frikadel???

You whinge when I don't rise, then while I am riding and now because I plan to ride.

Have I thought about this? Er. That would be "no" Kid. What's to think about? Maybe it will take a bit longer so we may need to leave a bit earlier. What can be wrong with climing a few of the little speedbumps around the south?

Hills hurt but pain is temporary. It goes away after a few days. :)

You think it is going to be any worse than yesterdays little outing?

I managed to get to work this morning on the bike. (only just). Not sure I will make it home, but maybe I am going to go find the server room and a quiet little spot there and continue my recovery nap. :P

If I can make it through this week. I can get through most things. I just need to move closer to work and then it will all be sorted. And the move is pretty high on the list of junk to be done.

That way, I can save both time and energy on commuting and use that energy for cycling all weekend.

Anything else I need to think about? ;)

This from someone who thimks there are only two climbs in SBR......????

Amanda is also a little upish, but yeah, why ride uphill when you can ride downhill?

Was it not you that said go big or go home?? I don't want to ride 94.7 this year. I want to have a bit of fun on the bike. Maybe next year..

For now, I'm planning a bit of fun for the next few weekends to keep me in the streets.

Think I'm going to have admin change my login from "Slave" to "Street Kid". Then peeps might think we're related. ('k, on second thoughts.... maybe not.)

Cycling is such fun now that I have rediscovered it. ;)

Amanda runs from the bottom of the Glen up to Rifle Range. Almost parallel to the N12.

A vertical climb of only 87 meters. Distance wise maybe 2 to 2.5 km long. If you were going along Vorster towards the Glen, and turn right at the circle, go past Builders, under the bridge and turn left at the cricle, you would turn left into Amanda. It goes up as far as Rifle Range at Bellavista.

(Best thing about the bike, is it never had a single headache the whole weekend. May have had flat feet, but no headache.) And flat feet are easy to fix. Even in my fatigued state yesterday, I only managed to drag out the task of reparing two tubes for as long as 30 minutes. I really did try to take as long as possible to fix them. :D
