That's the one. Used to be a KFC there as well. Just above Klipriver Drive.

Used to ride up there and then through Mondeor when I did a little bit of training for the 2007 cycle challenge. It was either that one or up Vorster.

Sounds like a plan! As long as we can get to Xumbugs in time for the Nampak loop. What time would we need to leave? From Xumbugs where do we go? I think I may park at Panorama this time.

Andy. I am not planning to do the Nampak Loop. I was thinking of the longer circus loop which will incorperate one or two other little speed bumbps in the road. I don't think I am fast enough yet for the fast bunch so if we can get enough takers. we can organise our own little crowd again. :D

I was thinking along the lines of our own group for "Part 2" of the ride. Part one been the little hill exploration.

Maybe the Princess will ride Part 2 with us.

@Slave

Some people from the social group also go long.

You could always leave with the fast group & then when they split on the Lido hill just join one of the slower groups.

Hill part??? What Hill part? :D

Ay carumba. Another one with simian genes..... :P

Andy, dude. I think you aught to be sentenced to 40 lashes with a wet noodle for scaring the Princess away. You insulted her bike and now you want her to go on a long ride around the extreme south of JHB / Vereeniging.

If the bike slap didn't work, this sure will.

Ha-Ha, I think you and Andy need to hook up and you can be our representative and take him on a tour de south. Show hi all the neat little speed bumps we have hidden away to keep the northern folk where they belong. North of the CBD. :P

Mona doesn't go long.     She only ever does the short loop. (To the best of my knowledge.) Imagine tagging along with her on a long one loop???

Eish, I get a headache just thunking about it. :( (Admin, there is a serious need for a "cry" smiley.)

Slave, you read like Kid adds!

I am not scaring the Princess away. That is why I suggested the hills at 5am followed by the flat Nampak loop at 7am.

Ha Ha, I would live wherever there are nice big hills! Preferably at the top!

Ha-Ha. Thanks for the brochure. Got it on Friday night. I will let you know later. I am looking at a 63 cm Colnago. As soon as the chapp gets in touch with me, I will make a plan to look at it.

EDIT: DEleted duplicated part of post.

Who is Mona, was she riding yesterday?

Btw, Slave, what happened after Hummy and I paced at the front? I was keeping my pace the same as Hummy and riding alongside him.

Ok, you win. I was thinking of doing a couple of little hills and then going on the long loop. I got stuck there and you got stuck on the shorter Nampak Loop.

Then I remembered I have a 300 km commute this week, so maybe the short loop will be just dandy for me, if I can interest the other climber to take you on a 5am tour de hills. (not Beverley Hills.)

That is of course, if I survive the commuting. I think it's time for me to go and drink the rest of my energade and begin chanting the Mantra.

I will make it home, I will make it home. I will zzzzzzzzz.

In hushed whisper.

(psst, do not disturb. The tjop fell asleep.)

Ha ha ha ha ha! But if I show Andy the really good speed bumps we have, he will move out South ;)

Andy rode for the 1st time in the south yesterday & now he doesn't want to leave.

Bloody lawyers

Andy, just make sure you pay your VISA fees.
