Fixed it.

Kid, is a sub 2 what I'll need to do to beat you next time round? Why not rather do 5 laps while I'm busy with my one?

You can have milkshake & of course you can miss out on new clothes & sushi.

More money for me to spend on cycling goodies - NOT !!!!

BTW you aren't going on a picnic, you going on a training ride which Andy will turn into a race.

You do know that the wise ones (Trubie & myself) will be chilling while you guys are sweating up those hills ?

Then it is mostly settled.

Kid, you doing the Nampak with Mini Kid then meet us for the milkshake?

So what are the TT details?

The bosco loop is going to be done at our own comfy pace(except where temptation gets the better of us) as there is a tough TT early morning!

I'll need a lot more than Spanish steak to do a sub 2hr 94.7 but you are a completely different breed.

I do like the way you think, you are already seeing the bigger picture by achieving 2 goals at once.

The first loop you do in just under 2hrs (you achieve goal #1) and then you do another 4 loops averaging 2hrs each (you'll achieve your 10hr goal). Great thinking

We also know that you are secretly training for IronMan, 200km ride (IM is 180km) and all the running that you've been doing. One of these days you going to come out and tell us that you've started swimming ;) ;) ;) ;)

Then there's also mention of purchasing a TT bike.

Just remember I watching you.

Whatever route we do is fine with me. But for my 5 Zim cents worth, if we do the short Nampak loop, turn right through Klipriver and then head past SBR, turn right and go through Henley and back to Rietvlei will give us around 100 km with a couple of fair hills. Some fast flats and then the ultimate climb up the steps at 30, as long as I can sit behind Andy going up the steps.

Alternatively, the Bosco loop is only about 80 or so with the only really decent climb being the Lido hill. Been a long time since I was last out on that route. There is another false flat going up past Boscos but not so much of a challenge.

Also not sure where you will be doing your TT and what sort of distance you will get while doing the TT.

Shall we vote?

I vote for the 100 km route past SBR.

Sounds good but depends what time Hummy has to be back to go eat his raw fish.

The TT is 20 minutes so should be about 12-16km apparently on Alwynspoort.

Plan for a 6 hour - 200km ride as BigS needs 6 hours training for the 24 hour and Agteros needs training for his 200km ride!

Well those big plans have been thwarted ..... my body has decide to 'rebel' against all of this crazy stuff

Spent Wednesday night and all of yesterday in Mulbarton clinic being 'observed' and 'tested' (ECG, X-ray, bloods and angiogram) :(

Big scare but hey given the all clear, just an inflamed 'intercostal' muscle

A few days off the bike then we'll see what happens ....

You missed a few points there... YOU will be doing the 5 laps, while I'll be slogging along on one only

I've never seen a brick swim, and do not intend to be the first one to do so ;)

TT bike is needed for CGT duathlon champs, and who knows, maybe even SA's? need more training for that though :( I can always use it on these ad-hoc TT's you guys seem to be organising ...

You better start training for those 5 sub 2 laps .... I'll give you time till 2012. Next year is just one lap, hopefully a sub 4 though :D

TT will be done on Alewynspoort rd, 20 mins.

We will be leaving X at 6:00, ride to Alewprt and start at the shop, ride 20 mins, turn around and go back towards X. Hopefully back there before the start at 7, otherwise we will join them on swartkoppies. I dont have time to ride longer than Nampak as church starts at 9

next few weekends I will be riding both days 3:00 +, will keep you all updated and you are welcome to join whenever it suits yr plans

Glad to hear you ok.

How exactly did you inflame your 'intercostal' muscle or would you rather not say ?
