It is the Double Century event. About 203km. Teams of 12. You need so many so that riders can rotate to keep the speed up and share the work.

 

It can be mixed.

 

BigS, your ride a Specialized so of course you will keep up!

Yip, the idea is to make the iDT interval sessions meaningful, as it takes from one to two minutes for the HR to respond to the workload during the first interval which makes me go too fast, and then spoiling the session for the last few intervals. The Edge 800 has about 11 power related fields it can show, hence the quest for that.

 

Just need to find out whether the 10 speed Shimano hubs can take 8 speed clusters, then there is no need to rush the purchase of a new two wheeled device of torture.

The 8 spd cluster should fit as it's the spaces that make all the difference.

That is a good idea! I am saving up for the Quarq as I don't want to play around with the hub on my wheel.
