You have the IRONMAN aspirations... How is YOUR swimming doing?

Luckily I'm just a RunCycler thumbup1.gif

I hope I can still swim, will hopefully find out this weekend.

At least we making progress, before you were just an OX then you became a Runna from Runville and now you a RunCycler from JHB soon you'll be a RunCyclerSwimmer from JHB by the lake

Don't stress you still have a little time......

Big M

You go big man. I think you have to change your login. Big S doesn't work so well. Since you're a machine, you should become Big M.

@Kid. No vitamin S dude. Had enough of that over the past two weeks.

The man is a machine and it's as simple as that.

Dude, you are suffering from selective hearing!!!

I've stated categorically on numerous occasions that I do no do the swim thing. So, that excludes the triathlon fingy.

You, on the other hand have this strange obsession with IRONMAN.... Care to tell us more about THAT?

Dude you are just in denial, on Saturday you had a moment of brilliance when you said that "maybe I should start swimming" and now today you back to your old ways.

You know you want to do it but you just lacking some motivation.

A similar thing happened to our friend Andy, he wanted to ride in the south but was lacking motivation, eventually motivation came along & he was there in a flash.

Now he loves riding in the south.

if IM included cycling and gym work, Kid would do the IM almost daily. :P

But it includes swimming, running and cycling. So far he has only one discipline and to live up to his fascination of IM, he lives his dream through you. :P Maybe this is why Hummy is doing triathlons. Just think of all the respect you will get from Kid when you complete your first IM Ox.

What is new?

I suspect that Kid's obsession with IRONMAN does not extend further than the gym.

I love the riding in the south so much that I have ridden there twice.

What motivation came along Kid?

The other unspoken half of that statement was along the lines of 'for core work, however maybe the exercise ball and elastic strap is still a safer/better option'I've made a solemn vow to myself that I will NEVER do the Comrades, and there is even less chance of me doing the IRONMAN.

@agteros

Leave the exercise ball & straps at the gym.

Swimming will do your core a lot of good (I think ;) ;) ).

At your age you should know better than to say NEVER.

NEVER is a very long time.

A few months ago you were totally against cycling and were thinking about selling your torture machines. Some time passed and you back on the torture machine & even thinking of upgrading.

Then on Sunday you got on the torture machine and did 200km (or at least that was your plan) and you also committed to do the 24hr MTB event at Rietveil in 2011. So cycling wise it was a BIG weekend for you.

You just need to right kind of motivation to get into that pool. :P :D :P :D

Just so you know, if everything goes well I should be at the next 200km ride (to watch you).

Well aware of the duration of 'NEVER', and I never want to do neither IRONMAN , nor Comrades. Capiche?

I've always intended getting back on the bicycle after my fall. The goal was to stay off and allow the shoulder enough time to heal, which I did, and which it did.

Back on the bicycle, with the goal to go do a specific duathlon and after that have some major fun (Dikwiel 94.7 & Solo 24 hour). Oh.. and in the mean time do a few cycling races here and there for fun, and to keep the seeding afloat.

With your ability you should be aiming a lot higher.

Thought you were doing 94.7 on a delivery bike ?

Actually saw one at Solomon's the other day.

What ability?

Dikwiel/delivery .. all the same: 1 gear, back pedal brakes, carrier, aerial, tooter, radio, flag, etc...

weekend plans Slave - will be same as last weekend.

We need to find out who has committed to being in DC team, so we can look for some more riders and a few back ups in case.........

I already have a driver for the support vehicle, and I suppose we have a vehicle too :)

You mean there are guys here who are NOT doing serious kays? What does that mean, are those kays funny?

Yes there are guys here that are doing funny kays.

Let me give you an example,

Big S 23 laps which means he did something like 250+km this past weekend

Trubie did about 200km this past weekend

Agertos did about 200km (I'm assuming you did the ride?) this past weekend

Then there's Slave who did about 60km but it was a funny 60km since he decided to chase a truck and then got dropped by the group, there's also Andy but he's having a bad day & I'm on his case already.

You 4 stand ?

200+km = serious

60km = funny

Rumour has it that Slave wants to do about 200km this weekend, which means that he has seen the error in his ways. At least he's making progress.
