Next time we should do Bosco twice following by Nampak once. Also a 4 or 5 laps of the Cradle would be good training. Or two times of Berge en Dale.

The drugs have finally kicked in ?

Kid, despite your best efforts I cannot give you the credit  However, I've decided to do start doing two short swim sessions per week (Not even an hour in total). All in the interest of bettering my running, this is.

I agree kid, the drugs have kicked in. :o

Since you have this fascination with triathlons, why not join us in January. I am sure that once the OX learns that he can swim, and that is is actually fun, he might even join us.

That way, all three of us might have a go at Baby IM first and then see where to from there.

BTW, I am wondering what you're on as it seems to have you focussed on one thing only and yet you lack the commitment we need to have a team ASGR baby IM. :(

I agreee Slave. It is time for Kid to stop the talking the talk, and for him to walk the walk.

Kid, you better start to participate in these IM thingy-mabobs you seem so obsessed with. Just let the rest of us focus on our running / cycling! We're behind you all the way (as supporters!)

Kid don't run (unless being chased)

Kid don't swim too well

Kid still learning to ride a bike

We can chase you. Just name the date / time / venue

Swimming is an acquired skill (it is all technique!)

You've learned pretty much enough about riding a bike. Just trust in that, and make some time for swimming/running!

After all your vociferous calls for everyone else topartake in baby IM and other such endeavours, how can you say you have no time. Your cycling has come along in leaps and bounds and you have dethroned me as the King of the steps. :(

Now I have to find other things to do to get my "glory" back. So, you'll just have to partake in the tri's that you take HB to and instead of watching from the sidelines, spend the time doing.

Problemo solved.

Ok, so we know there is a thread dedicated to the results of Hubbers riding the Epic, but I'm not sure I follow how it all works.

Anyone got an update on how BigS is doing?

Time - eish that's very expensive.

Just tell them that you have stuff to do. ;)

As for my suggestion Bosco is what, about 65km? So that is 130km. Nampak is what, about 50km? So that will give us about 180km odd. DC is 200km. Cradle loop is about 40km. 5 times 40km will give us 200km. The undulations will probably give us a more accurate perception of what the DC route is like. It is not pancake flat.

Can anyone join, even us poor newbie`s.ive been training 2 weeks now and am dying to ride in a group,to see my fitness lvl.

welcome to the thread

anyone can join us or anyone for that matter

I would suggest you go to Xumbugs, cnr Klipriver and Swartkoppies on sat or sunday, and do a ride with the last bunch to leave just after 7:00

you will soon see if they are too slow for your fitness, then you can move "up" a bunch or two

if you need any more info drop me a mail on pjnot@mweb.co.za or pm me

@TRubie. Yep, it seems that Epic is not for sissies. Since Kid is being chicken about baby IM, maybe we should convince him to do the Epic as an alternative.

@ Mav. Welcome to the thread. On Saturday and Sunday morning there are groups that ride out from Xumbugs / dirt trackers or some junk. Intersection of Swatkoppies and Klip RIver. The faster group leave at around 7 and the more social groip leave just after that.

May I suggest that you read up on bunch riding and ettiquette before you joing the group. It will give you a basic knowledge of how to ride in a bunch and what not to do.

Make it your life's mission to stay away fromthe dolly on the Eddie MErx bike. She will moan your ear right off.

BTW, while some of us do live on this thread, but we are not always online. You only need to ask your question once and someone will get back to you before too long. ;)
